As the opening of a new, long-term collaboration, AO Drones delivered the largest drone show ever flown in Germany at the Rheinkirmes Düsseldorf.

Across two show nights, the two performances of 1,000 drones reached over 1.8 million visitors on site and generated more than 900 million media impressions, marking a milestone not only for the event itself, but for large-scale cultural entertainment in Europe.

AO Drones created two 360-degree spectacles seen from bridges, rooftops, and the entire Rhein promenade. Set against the backdrop of Germany’s largest riverside funfair, the legendary Rheinkirmes, visitors gathered to witness our groundbreaking performance – a breathtaking fusion of light, motion, and storytelling.

The drone show was conceived as the starting point of a 10-year development vision — combining scale, artistic ambition and long-term partner integration. From creative direction and storytelling to technical execution and flight operations, the project was fully developed and flown by AO Drones.

This was not a one-off spectacle. It was the foundation of a decade-long platform.
