Muscat Festival puts a spell on Qurum Natural Park

Since 1998 in Muscat, Oman, the annual cultural Muscat Festival takes place and attracts many visitors from all over the world. Until 24th February, 2011, the month-long festival celebrates the taditional culture and arts of the Oman and its people. The rich schedule of events ranges from sporting events over concerts to workshops and readings.

For the first time, the Festival, themed „Present and Future of Oman“, was opened with a spectacular multimedia lighting show. Its creation with close interplay of water screens, xenon light, laser and pyrotechnics plays itself into the hearts of the spectators. The lighting design comes from the Polish lighting designer Pawel „Spider“ Pajak, he‘s also the operator of the show. For the opening as well as the 30 minutes lasting lighting show every evening inter alia 36 FALCON® 6000 CMY are used. They are build up alongside the lakeshore of Qurum Lake in the Al Qurum Natural Park.

The project management is in the hands of Mr. Thomas Linke, Area Manager Middle East of A&O Technology. The Muscat Festival auspices of His Excellency Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Secretary General for the Cabinet of Ministers.
